Chicken and Vegetable Wraps with Creamy Cheese Dip
Chicken Meat and Vegetable Wrap
Ingredients:
- 2 chicken breasts
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 large tortillas or wraps
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1 cup shredded carrots
- 1 cup sliced bell peppers (red, yellow, or green)
- 1/2 cup sliced cucumbers
- 1/4 cup chopped red onion
- 1 avocado, sliced
- 1/2 cup hummus or your favorite spread (optional)
Instructions:
Prepare the Chicken:
- Season the chicken breasts with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Grill or pan-fry the chicken breasts over medium heat until fully cooked (about 6-7 minutes per side). Let them rest for a few minutes, then slice into thin strips.
Assemble the Wraps:
- Lay out each tortilla on a flat surface.
- Spread a thin layer of hummus or your preferred spread on the tortilla (optional).
- Add a layer of shredded lettuce, carrots, bell peppers, cucumbers, red onion, and avocado slices.
- Place the sliced chicken on top of the vegetables.
Wrap It Up:
- Fold in the sides of the tortilla and then roll it up tightly from the bottom to the top.
- Cut the wrap in half for easier handling.
Cheese Dip
Ingredients:
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for a spicy kick)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh chives or green onions for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
Mix the Ingredients:
- In a medium bowl, combine the shredded cheddar cheese, cream cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise.
- Add the minced garlic, Dijon mustard, cayenne pepper (if using), salt, and pepper.
- Mix until well combined and smooth.
Chill and Serve:
- Transfer the dip to a serving bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
